An Office Makeover

Sometimes I get stuck in what I see. I have been looking at a garage full of antiques that was my grandparents for about 5 months now. I had previously had it in storage for over 10 years. I had really struggled with what to do with it all, thinking I had to sell it all because it wouldn't fit in my house. Well after a creative day yesterday spent with my inspirational husband we have re-homed all but two pieces which have gone to loving homes. It is such a great feeling!

Insomnia Merry Go Round

I'm on the insomnia merry go round again. Up late working on stuff, then fall into bed, read a bit and fall into a deep sleep. Only to wake around 4 or 5 when my husband starts fidgeting after his full night's sleep (he's an early to bed person). He's going for an early morning surf tomorrow; there is hope for a sleep in!

Well today was another fantastic day. Am keeping a food diary for the naturopath-is it ok to leave off things that u ate that you shouldn't have....like the icing off your son's birthday cake? Suppose not... Lucky I went to Zumba then & sweated up a storm!

To Learn Something New

You know the times in your life when you know you have to do something and you put it off; make excuses because it all seems too hard. I had that going on for some months(well years really if you count the 10 years I had it in storage) around my parent's antique furniture. Well, I bit the bullet (and sometimes that's all it takes) and did it. Wouldn't you know now I'm the eBay selling queen (well almost), I have found amazing ways of keeping some of the beautiful pieces and I have learnt much in the process!

Was It Hot!

Today on the Gold Coast it was a scorcher. Spent most of the day in the water either at the beach or at home in the pool. So need to eat less! Can't hide much in a bikini and rashy!

It's Been Eleven Years!

Today, it has been eleven years since I became responsible completely for someone else's life. We celebrated our 11 years of lost spontaneity tonight by having '11' candles on an ice cream cake. We invited the neighbours over & sang 'Happy Birthday'. It was a joyous night. We even spent large sums of money on gifts! And wouldn't change it for the world! Happy Birthday son!

A Celebration

Well today I achieved something I have had as a goal for about 5 years in some form or another. I'm glad I did it & even though I still have some guilt (which is why it has taken me so long to achieve it) I have at least taken the second step. What is it, you ask. I hired a cleaner!

Shop Til You Drop

Today, I was fortunate enough to have my sister in law staying. She likes a good shopping session so I went along. There is nothing like a few hours of trying on clothes to get you to have a good long hard look at yourself.

Your Kidding Me!

This morning when I left the Gold Coast petrol was $1.38 a litre. I drove 4 hours west until I reached Dalby where I chose to refuel as I still had another hour to drive. Petrol in Dalby was, are you ready for it $1.20 a litre!! We are being ripped off.

Bad Mother?

Today I had 30 mins to spare before school pick up. I half lied down on the couch reading my book. That was the last thing I remember. I woke up, looked at my watch, saw that it was 3.30, tried to get the sleep out of my eyes, thought I was reading my watch wrong. No, it was right. I was a half hour late to pick up my boy from school & had slept through them ringing me. When the school rang my husband, he thought I had had an accident cos no-one could track me down. It was good in a way as we got to test the plan we had discussed of what to do if I wasn't there. He was calm & handled it really well. Unlike me who totally freaked for about 10 mins!

Energised!

When I coach during the day I feel energised just as I do at night. During the day the energy gets used up before bed. When I coach at night, afterwards when everyone has gone to bed it takes me ages to use up the energy. Maybe I should put on my head phones & dance.
